A social marketing agency.

Publick Benefit blends research and marketing with a social cause.

Have a question?

Let's see if we have an answer

Our mantras are straightforward, but our solutions are oblique

Start with Understanding

To get people to change, find out what they think, then offer incentives, and only afterwards legislate.

Make Change Easy

If you can change someone’s behaviour through any means other than self-sacrifice, then try that first.

Break the Pattern

Attempt the unconventional, since everyone else has already tried the conventional.

We help businesses, social organisations and governments design, test and implement behavioural solutions

Intervention design

Our work begins with observation. Why do people do the things they do?

Strategic Communication

Building a full creative and communications platform that is brand-led but action-focused.

Information gathering

We use oblique forms of information gathering to discover the underlying reasons behind a problem.

Service design & Implementation

We develop execution plans that combine the right channels with the right messages to drive change.

Measuring results

All activities will be measured against key outcomes to show change is in progress.

Social Organisations, Marketing and Agendas

NGOs and civil society groups often run outstanding programs but struggle to market them effectively to their target audiences. We help expand outreach and identify behaviour-led strategies to enhance engagement and impact, ensuring your programs reach the people who need them most.

Corporate SCR & ESG Engagement

We help companies design and promote their socially beneficial initiatives — from advising on which CSR programs to pursue to managing projects from concept to completion. Our specialty is crafting cost-effective, tailored strategies that reflect your company’s unique brand and values, rather than relying on generic, one-size-fits-all solutions.

Government Interventions

Governments tend to reach for legislation as the primary tool for change. We offer non-interventionist strategies that enable city, regional and national governments to achieve meaningful, lasting impact without overregulation.

Our core mission is to help companies identify more effective, innovative, and cost-efficient ways to invest in meaningful environmental, social, and governance (ESG) impact. We also work with governments and nonprofits to design fresh, practical approaches for achieving lasting social change.

Our Philosophy

We believe that social policies and campaigns must be grounded in real human behaviour—not in abstractions, spreadsheets or idealized economic models. To make a meaningful impact, action must be innovative, bold and personal. Our methods draw on insights from behavioural psychology and behavioural economics to tackle challenges in ecology, human rights, public safety, healthcare, demographics and effective governance.
